Skate Fest 08

Thrust was down at the skate contest in CB and it was sick. So many good kids running around with thrust stickers on their heads, just all so stoked. It was a great time. Thanks to Tony Silvani for putting it all together.

DEX LEWIS
New Team Rider from Salsa Brava, Puerto Viejo Costa Rica

Chris Klues from Thrust just got back from a month long tour throughout Costa Rica and Panama, scouting for some fresh talent to join our team. Chris met Dex Lewis down in Puerto Viejo when he was surfing Salsa, and the kid just blew him away. "Dex is the coolest and most humble kid in town, and he charges Salsa so hard" Chris said "I surfed Salsa and it's the scariest/craziest/heaviest wave I've ever seen, and Dex is dropping into barrels with his hands over his head like it's nothing. He's a great kid and I'm stoked to have him on the team. Whey!" We know Dex will be a great addition to the team and we're all going to see amazing things from him in the future. Derrick Pigford
New Thrust Team Rider from Wilmington, NC

Thrust just picked up Derrick from Wilmington NC to help represent us down in NC. He kills it and is a super chill kid. He's going to make a great addition to the team and is going to be a big part of Thrust getting bigger down in the south. Mike Breitfeller
Is getting better, will be back in NC in a few weeks

Mike's been making huge improvements after being hit by a taxi in NC last month. He's already finished up with all his surgeries and is doing physical therapy and even walking around with the help of crutches. It's actually insane how quick he's getting better after such a serious accident, but that's just the kind of guy Mike is. He'll be back in NC in a few weeks and will start repping again as soon as he's ready. Keep getting better broski. You can get him at mike@thrustclothing.com

Thrust goes to Costa Rica and Panama
Surf Expedition

A few of us will be spending about a month traveling throughout Costa and Panama in search of waves and a good time. The new Spring/Summer line will be out by then, so maybe looking for some Central American shops to carry Thrust as well. Should be a great time for sure.

Mike Breitfeller Accident
Hit by a taxi walking home from Wrightsville Beach

Mike was walking home from the bar the other night and was hit by a cab full of people. He severely injured both of his legs, and will be in the hospital for at least a few weeks. He probably won't be surfing for a few months. It's a pretty scary situation, but thankfully he's going to be alright after surgery and therapy. It's going to take more then a taxi to stop Breity that's for sure. You can still get him on his cell in the hospital, and he could use all the support he can get. Give him a call.

Florida Road Trip
Scored waves, raged hard.

Just got back from a few days down in Florida chasing a swell. Spent a night in Charleston SC, a night in St. Augustine, FL, a few nights @ Sebastian's Inlet and scored Ponce's Inlet on the way back. Sick time. Fun waves. Lots of beers and fishing. Thanks to all those mystery people who's floors we slept on. You're all welcome in Wrightsville anytime.

We threw a sick party OCT 4th at the Palm Room. We went through 700 Jagerbombs before 2 and obviously the chaos came after that. Thanks to everyone who helped out.
